We invite Klaipėda residents and visitors to commemorate the Day of the Defenders of Freedom and honour the fighters for the freedom of Lithuania. Let us gather by the light of bonfires, sit together and remember why Freedom is our greatest value.
In Liepų Street near Klaipėda City Municipality, bonfires will be lit and the energetic rhythms of Freedom will be played by the bands “BIX” and “KAnDIs” (Algirdas Kaušpėdas and Viktoras Diawara). The Klaipėda Fishermen’s Palace folk dance group “Vėlunga” and the folklore ensemble “Kuršių ainiai” from the Ethnoculture Centre will also support the feeling of unity and strength in the concert programme.
The event will be hosted by Klaipėda Drama Theatre actors Justina Vandžodytė and Donatas Stakėnas.
