A new, cheerful and undoubtedly hilarious duo joins forces on the Lithuanian music scene – singer, tenor Deividas Norvilas-Deivis and opera soloist, tenor Rafailas Karpis. Next autumn, with their new project wittily titled “2 METERS”, the performers will meet audiences in as many as fourteen Lithuanian cities and will ensure that this will be the funniest show they have seen all year.

The project “2 METERS” is a unique performance full of humour and original musical interpretations, where the audience will have the opportunity to hear not only fun arrangements of popular songs, but also original songs written especially for these performances. This is not only a concert, but also a comedy, a performance and an improvisation in one.

“We have been friends for many years – we studied together at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, walked the same corridors, took the same exams. Later, we met in various projects, performed on the same stages and TV shows. We both have a similar complexity and get along very well, so the idea of a duet started to come up. Finally, exactly a year ago, we talked about it publicly – while filming for the TV cameras, we promised to present the project “2 METERS” soon,” the performers say about the beginning of the new duo.

In this lively concert tour starting on 19 October, Deivis and Rafailas promise to give their best, but most importantly – with a good dose of humour.

“We will try to surprise the listeners with original, specially created for the 2 METRAI programme, as well as to select as many colourful, cheerful and well-known songs as possible, which will complement the programme. The most important thing for us is to make sure that the audience has a good time and that the smiles don’t disappear from their faces”, they say.
