What connects the charming Rosina and the cunning Figaro, the dreamy Gilda and the unpredictable Don Juan, the playful Musetta, the sultry Silva, the charming Count Danilo, and perhaps even the one who passionately sings “Granada” or gently whispers “Tell her”? All these characters are united by love – diverse, changeable, sometimes sensual and fragilely sincere, and sometimes burning, stormy and defying logic.
The evening’s programme is a musical journey through love stories from different eras and genres: from the elegance of Mozart’s opera to the exuberant passion of the opera, from the operatic charm of Lehár and Kálmán to the fire of the musical and the emotion of Spanish song. Soprano Monika Pleškytė and baritone Steponas Zonys, accompanied by the Archi Quartet, will reveal the forms and colours of boundless love that come alive in music.
