Trio VIVO, with Lithuanian opera prima donna Joana Gedmintaite at the forefront, has prepared a programme of works embodying the rebirth of nature, including chamber works and opera arias on the theme of nature and, of course, love, arranged for the trio. Listeners will hear works by well-known classical composers such as Mozart and Rossini, as well as enchanting vocal miniatures by lesser-known composers, full of birds, colours and the sparkling sounds of spring!
One of them is Henry Bishop’s aria for coloratura soprano “Look! Behold the gentle fan” – set to words by William Shakespeare himself. Among the classics that are not often heard, but are loved by the world’s performers, there will also be works composed by Giedrius Kuprevičius and Zita Bružaitė, which Trio VIVO is bringing back to life for a second time.
Programme:
W. A. Mozart, A. Adam, G. Kuprevičius, Z. Bružaitė, P. Gaubert, G. Rossini, Y. Gamzou, J. Benedict, H. Bishop
