July 4 (Saturday) at 12:00 p.m., the Klaipėda art gallery “Lyceum” (9 Danės St.) will host a creative water painting (EBRU) workshop for participants of all ages. The workshop will be led by psychologist, EBRU therapy and neurographics specialist Ingrida Šerytė and educator Dalia Šateikienė.

ABOUT EDUCATION

Have you ever tried painting on water? It turns out it’s not only possible, but also incredibly fun! The art of painting on water (EBRU) doesn’t require any special artistic skills—anyone can create a beautiful and unique result!

The UNESCO-recognized tradition of Ebru painting captivates with its play of colors, unexpected patterns, and ever-changing creative process. The designs are created on a specially prepared water surface—first, the background is splashed with paint, and then various ornaments and compositions are formed using special sticks. The resulting image is transferred from the water’s surface onto a sheet of paper, which participants take home as their own work of art.

The workshops use traditional, all-natural EBRU paints that are safe for both people and the environment. All necessary supplies (paints, paper, brushes, and other materials) are included in the participation fee!
