“IHOPEIWILL explores our shared future against a backdrop of persistent political tensions and growing climate challenges. Despite the prevailing global climate of fear and great uncertainty, the play seeks to convey a sense of expectation and hope. “IHOPEIWILL is an event combining physical performance, sound design and visual installation. Each of these media works independently of the other, but at the same time synergistically, and together they create an organic whole. The inspiration for the performance comes from conversations with people interested in their personal family environment and intergenerational relationships. What kind of future do we imagine not only for ourselves, but also for the generations to come? What kind of world do we wish for them, and what can we do to make these wishes come true? IHOPEIWILL thus becomes an artistic reflection on the trajectory of current society and our responsibility towards future generations.
