Latvian conductor Andris Veismanis, one of the most prominent representatives of the Baltic choral culture, will lead a two-day educational workshop in Klaipėda, aimed at choral music professionals, young conductors, pedagogues and all those interested in choral practices. Together with the Klaipėda Choir Aukuras, he will analyse the principles of contemporary choral sound formation, the nuances of interpretation, aspects of conducting technique and the specifics of repertoire.

During the education, participants will have the opportunity to observe practical work with the choir, ask questions and get involved in the professional process. This is a rare opportunity to get up close and personal with the experience of a long-standing director of the Latvian National Opera and professional choirs in creating interpretations of choral music from different eras and aesthetics.
