The name says it all. “Mafia” doesn’t imply anything sinister—it’s a close-knit family united by music, joy, and friendship. And “Gozadera”? That’s exactly what happens at every one of their concerts: an energetic celebration, full of rhythm, positive vibes, and a sense of togetherness.

The group is currently based in Amsterdam and regularly performs at festivals, cultural events, and private celebrations in the Netherlands. They headlined the closing concert of the Kriterion Film Festival, performed at the prestigious “Dias Latinos” festival in Amersfoort, and took part in the “Jaleo Sound Festival” in Amsterdam.

Their repertoire consists of original compositions and carefully selected gems of salsa music from Cuba, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Colombia, and Spain. This creates a distinctive and energetic sound that reflects tradition while also forging a contemporary musical identity.

The group was formed three years ago when its members met while studying at the Amsterdam Conservatory. Although all the musicians come from different regions of Spain and brought their own unique musical traditions and influences, they were united by a shared passion for Latin American music. Since then, they have grown into a dynamic ensemble united by friendship, cultural diversity, and a love of live music.
