We invite you to experience this day with us—in a cozy, lively, and meaningful way. From castle ruins steeped in the spirit of the Middle Ages to Theater Square, filled with music and bustle. A celebration awaits you where the past and present, traditions and the city’s modern energy come together.

PROGRAMME

12:00 p.m. A formal flag-raising ceremony for the city of Klaipėda.

12:00–17:00 A historical educational program featuring knightly tournaments, various activities (archery, medieval dances and dance lessons, various outdoor games, etc.), and an introduction to the Curonian way of life. The festival will feature tales of the city’s legends, and visitors will also have the chance to sample the city’s savior—cheese—a favorite food of the Curonians, as well as other ancient delicacies. DJ UraganiuS will set the festive mood.

Klaipėda Castle Site (2 Priešpilio St.)

5:00 p.m. A formal ceremony to confer the title of Master of Culture of Klaipėda and the title of Honorary Citizen, during which individuals who have rendered outstanding service to the city will be honored.

7:00 p.m. A festive concert featuring Ingaja, Paulina Paukštaitytė, and DJ Tomu Boo. The audience can look forward to the most popular songs, a great atmosphere, dancing, and the true spirit of the city’s birthday celebration.
