About the duo:
Gris Futuro is a minimal synth / wave duo formed in late 2021, whose primary creative tools are modular and other analog synthesizers. The group’s name—meaning “Gray of the Future”—was inspired by their passion for brutalist architecture and 1970s synthesizer music, as well as their opposition to homogenized, algorithmic global trends: unlike digital ones, analog synthesizers, which directly convert electricity into sound, always operate with a certain degree of imprecision and error.

Band members:
Rogelio Serrano (also known by the pseudonym Equinoxious in the synthesizer music scene) has been creating music using analog equipment for over a decade, but he does so not out of nostalgia, but rather by attempting to present the sound of a slightly older era in a contemporary light and transform it into something (retro)futuristic. For her part, Eglė Naujokaitytė (also known as Mux—a longtime vocalist, selector, DJ, and radio host on LRT Opus and other stations) has been fascinated by analog synthesizers for many years, writes and sings in several languages: Gris Futuro’s poetic, metaphysical lyrics about multifaceted emotional and sensory experiences, the twists and turns of the subconscious, and dreams
are written in Lithuanian, Spanish, English, and French.
