On July 8, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., at the Giruliai Branch of the Immanuel Kant Public Library of the Klaipėda City Municipality (10A Šlaito St.) will host the musical program “Songs of Seven Summers” featuring singer Milda Arčikauskaitė and actor Viačeslav Lukjanov. From the “Take a Trip to Giruliai” event series.

A giant wept into the lake, a water nymph carried and dropped a stone, and “behind the screen, the devil grins foolishly”—thus unfolds the mysterious, ancient, and sacred Lithuanian worldview.

The program consists of Lithuanian folk tales and poems by the poet Sigitas Geda. The texts are read, recited, sung, and chanted.

The program was created by singer Milda Arčikauskaitė and actor Viačeslavas Lukjanovas, who plays the dulcimer, the overtone flute, and the frame drum in this performance daf, didgeridoo, bells, electronic tanpura, percussion, and other instruments.

The program is suitable for both adults and children.
