On Friday, July 3, at 5:30 p.m., at the Exhibition Hall of the Klaipėda Culture and Communication Center (KKKC), 2 Didžioji Vandens St., the Klaipėda branch of the Lithuanian Artists’ Union (LDS) will open a joint exhibition titled “Western Winds 26/Frequency,” showcasing the latest works by professional artists from the western region of Lithuania. The exhibition will run until August 30.

The exhibition is organized on a biennial basis every two years. More than fifty members of the Klaipėda branch of the Lithuanian Artists’ Union (LDS) from Klaipėda, Palanga, Neringa, Telšiai, Gargždai, and other cities in western Lithuania present their work at the exhibition. Through this exhibition, the Klaipėda branch of the LDS aims to present to the public the developments and stylistic changes in the region’s visual arts over the past two to three years.

The group exhibition features works in a variety of genres—ranging from painting, sculpture, printmaking, and small-scale sculpture to interdisciplinary and applied art. FREQUENCY serves as the central theme of this year’s exhibition.

This project aims to capture and reveal the creative pulse of Klaipėda’s artists—the transformations of their ideas and forms of expression. The exhibition’s color palette and forms ebb and flow naturally, like the tides, symbolizing the constant transformation of the artists’ thoughts.
