Gaetano Donizetti’s comic opera “The Elixir of Love” tells the story of Nemorino, a poor, naive boy who falls hopelessly in love with the beautiful Adina, who enjoys not only the life of a wealthy heiress, but also the attentions of the constantly changing cavaliers, and of sincere feelings – the true elixir of love – that eventually overcomes all obstacles.
