June marks a special time of year when the days are longest and the nights are shortest. This is the summer solstice. At that time, the Sun reaches its highest point in the sky, and since ancient times, this period has been celebrated during Rasos. Later, with the spread of Christianity, solstice traditions became intertwined with Midsummer customs.

The Clock Museum of the Lithuanian National Museum of Art and “Neramios,” a group of third-year students from the Klaipėda Faculty of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, invite you to a musical evening. The program will feature songs based on the poetry of Henrikas Radauskas, Janina Degutytė, Justinas Marcinkevičius, Mindaugas Burokas, and Vytautas Mačernis.

June 19 at 4:00 p.m.

At the Clock Museum (12 Liepų St., Klaipėda). If the weather is nice, the event will take place in the museum courtyard; if it rains, it will be held inside the museum.
