AB “Klaipėdos energija” invites you to take a tour of the thermal power plant complex—the only facility of its kind in Klaipėda! During the tours, you’ll have a unique opportunity to get a closer look at the area in the “heart” of the port city, on the banks of the Danė River, where Klaipėda’s light and heat were first generated.

Visitors will hear captivating stories about the history of the industry, see interwar-era turbine-generators that are still in operation today, and an impressive 120-meter-tall steel chimney that is more than half a century old.

Tour participants will have the opportunity to access areas that are usually off-limits to visitors. The industrial setting, the grandeur of the machinery, and the city’s energy history will come together to create a memorable experience.

The final stop on the tour is the Leičių MemelHaus craft brewery, located in the same historic Klaipėda Energy Space. A short beer tasting awaits you here—led by the brewery’s brewmaster himself: two different styles of beer and a mini-quiz about what you just saw on the tour.
