Klaipėda Castle Museum

During the summer season,
from June 15 to September 15,

Wednesday–Sunday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (ticket sales until 5:30 PM).
Closed on public holidays.
On the day before a public holiday, working hours are reduced by one hour.

Educational activities and themed tours at the Museum of the History of Lithuania Minor, the Castle Museum, and the Blacksmith Museum are available during the summer season (06/15–09/15) Wednesday–Saturday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM (Monday–Tuesday – closed).

This small museum is located in the old Klaipėda district, surrounded by water moats, in the 13th century. Here you will learn about the development of the castle and the town. You will see archaeological finds, documents, seals of the city of Klaipėda, reconstructed seventeenth-century stamps, archaeological objects from the castle and the Old Town. You will see the symbol of Renaissance Klaipėda – the 16th-century castle, a gold ring with a precious stone from the middle of the 17th century, a model of Klaipėda Castle and the city in the second half of the 20th century.
