The Klaipėda Branch of the Lithuanian Photographers’ Union currently unites 31 photographers from Klaipėda and the western region of Lithuania (Palanga, Gargždai, Plungė, Mažeikiai, Telšiai, Tauragė, Nida). Klaipėda Chapter organises solo and group exhibitions of Lithuanian and foreign photographers, implements various photographic art projects, carries out educational activities, publishes photographic publications. It actively cooperates with the Klaipėda Culture Communication Centre Exhibition Hall, Klaipėda County Public I. Simonaitytė Library, Šiauliai Art Gallery, Tauragė Photography Gallery and other Lithuanian and foreign cultural organisations. Every year, about 12 photography projects are successfully implemented. Members of the Klaipėda Branch of LPG actively participate in exhibitions and cultural projects not only in Klaipėda and Lithuania, but also abroad.
