A lyrical musical background – a trumpet or another wind instrument.

The sculpture depicts a bird of prey that has stolen the moon. It is frightening and sorrowful, for darkness has descended upon the earth. The bird is menacing, with sharp talons and a pointed beak, ready to strike.

In this way, sculptor Stasys Žirgulis has given shape to a childhood fear, because as a little boy, he was deeply afraid of the dark.
