The sculpture Mother portrays Mother Earth with her children. The work offers an unusual interpretation of this relationship: Mother Earth allows her children to play with dangerous creatures, a snake and a lizard, yet her hands, raised above their heads, show that she is watching over them, protecting and blessing them.

It is one of the park’s most decorative sculptures. To the visitor, it serves as a reminder of how beautiful and nurturing our Mother Earth truly is.

For those with an eye for art history, the piece reveals inspiration drawn from the culture of ancient Mesopotamia, reimagined in contemporary form.

Two nearby columns mark the entrance to Klaipėda’s old cemetery, which stood here from the 19th century until the early 20th century.
