Baltic amber is part of the national heritage, fostering a craft that has survived through the ages to the present day. According to Lithuanian legend, the amber is the remains of the castle of the sea goddess Jurate after the god Perkūnas punished her for her love for the simple fisherman Kastytis. “In the Amber Queen shop-museum, located in the very heart of Klaipėda’s Old Town, you will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the unique modern and ancient amber works. The extensive exposition will introduce visitors to the most impressive collections – antique pipes, antique amber articles, the most beautiful amber pieces from different countries of the world, unique inclusions.
