The blacksmith museum was opened in 1992. On the first floor, most of the space is devoted to material about the forge of the famous Klaipėda master G. Kackė. An authentic blacksmith sign, an entire showcase for casting letters and numbers made by G. Kackė himself, and a blacksmith’s seal are on display. The interior of G. Kackė’s forge has been restored here.
In the exposition you can also see gas lamps, agricultural implements, work tools, hinge door hinges made by G. Kackė and other Klaipėda forges.
