Built in 1948 in Finland, The Meridianas bark sailed the seas as a training sailboat for twenty years, helping educate future sailors and captains. The Meridianas was saved from collapse, renovated and re-opened its doors to the visitors as a restaurant in 2012. Today The Meridianas is an integral part of the Klaipėda city landscape, as well as a symbol of the port city. The main hall of the restaurant is equipped with a glass floor, allowing visitors to view the preserved old wooden structures of the ship. This is a great opportunity to have lunch or dinner and learn about the unique history of the ship at the same time.
