Route to Liepāja and Riga returns for summer

Route to Liepāja and Riga returns for summer

The Klaipėda-Palanga-Liepāja-Riga route, which attracted strong traveler interest last year, will operate again this summer.

The route will resume in April – initially operating on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. An additional departure is scheduled for April 2 and April 6 at the start of the season. From May, buses will run on all weekdays, and from June until September 30 they will operate up to three times per day.

According to Aldis Kibens, a board member of “Lux Express Latvia,” the route already proved highly popular with travelers last year.

“This route has proven to be a convenient option for travelers wishing to visit the Latvian seaside. It was actively used not only by Lithuanians but also by Latvians and international tourists traveling to Klaipėda or Palanga, which also contributes to the growth of tourism in the region,” says A. Kibens.

Last summer, the most popular journeys on this route were Klaipėda-Riga and Klaipėda-Liepāja. Many passengers also traveled between Liepāja and Palanga as well as Riga and Palanga.

Tickets to Liepāja from €6

At the beginning of the season in April, promotional prices will be available for passengers. Travel from Riga to Klaipėda will start from €11, while tickets from Klaipėda to Liepāja will start from €6.

Discounts will apply on international “Lux Express” routes for several passenger groups: about 60% for children under 7, about 40% for children under 16, about 26% for young people under 26, and about 10% for seniors aged 60 and above.

Tickets are available on the website luxexpress.lt.
