Since 1934 the celebration organized in the city is the biggest summer fiesta, which is attended by about half a million guests both from Lithuania and abroad. During the holiday, more than 100 events of various kinds take place – ceremonies, processions, exhibitions, concerts, street festivals, fairs, etc.
