Klaipėda attracts not only with its sea waves but also with its cycling routes, where every turn gives an unforgettable experience. The Curonian Spit cycling route is one of the most impressive in Lithuania. The 52-kilometer route, winding along the coast and through pine forests, connects Smiltynė, Juodkrantė, Pervalka, Preila and Nida. Along the way, you will see breathtaking dunes, Witches’ Hill, wooden villas and smoked fish yards. The dunes have been used as a filming location numerous times, as the nature here is truly worthy of a movie.
Just 7 to 8 kilometers away from the Old Ferry, and you are at Biker’s Beach. Although you will not find this place marked on maps, it is cultish among cyclists. The beach is a stretch of a wild coastline: spacious, open, fragrant with the sea and wind. It seems that even time stops here to respire.
There are no lifeguards, cafes or showers here – just sand, pine forest and tables for a short rest.
It is a place where the old spirit of the Curonian Spit is felt in a special way – as if nature itself whispers quietly that real journeys begin where you feel the freedom to be yourself.
